Taverner Research Group respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and the Privacy (Market and Social Research) Code 2021.

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for market and social research purposes including recruiting participants, conducting surveys and interviews, managing panel participation, quality control, incentive fulfilment, reporting research findings, and meeting legal and compliance obligations.

The kinds of personal information we may collect include contact details, demographic information, research responses, audio/video recordings, images, opinions and other information relevant to a research project. In some projects, we may collect sensitive information, but only where reasonably necessary and with appropriate consent or another lawful basis.

Where practical, you may choose not to identify yourself or to use a pseudonym. However, this may not be possible in some circumstances, including where we need to contact you, verify eligibility, provide incentives, manage panel participation, conduct follow-up research, or where identification is otherwise required or authorised by law.

We generally collect personal information directly from you, but we may also collect it from clients, sample providers, panel providers, publicly available sources, referral sources, website forms, event registrations, or other third parties involved in research recruitment or delivery.

We may disclose personal information to trusted service providers and partners who help us conduct research and operate our systems, including sample providers, panel platforms, survey platforms, transcription providers, data processors, IT providers and professional advisers. We do not use your personal information for direct marketing of products or services.

We seek to store data securely and use reasonable safeguards to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. When personal information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it, unless we are required to retain it by law or for a lawful research or contractual purpose.

Some of our service providers may be located overseas or may access data from overseas. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is protected in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.

You may request access to personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting our Privacy Officer.
